The Education assistant Program covers diverse topics required to successfully work under the direction of classroom teachers or resource teachers. Students gain insight into educational ethics, maintaining healthy relationships with pupils and parents as well as how to effectively provide special attention to students with physical, learning or emotional needs.
This program provides students with the necessary skills involved in successful team building, leadership and conflict resolution as well as observing and assessing pupil progress and behavior. Students of this program will acquire skills in child development, support and adapt curriculums, effectively manage pupil behavior as well as assist teachers in preparing materials, displays and other supportive activities. Students will also learn to assist teachers with implementing Individual Education Programs for students using strategic learning techniques and strategies.
Successful graduates of our Education assistant Program are qualified for employment in a number of related fields, including; Child care centers, early intervention programs, public and private schools and summer camps.
