Bay River College (herein “College,” “us,” or “we”) places the utmost importance on our your privacy and data security. The College collects information in several ways. We gather some personal information should you register with us. How Do We Use Your Information?

Per Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation, all our electronic communications will provide you with an “opt-out” clause.
Any personal information you provide is managed according to the Alberta Personal Information Privacy Act (PIPA).
The aggregate usage data provided by our users is collected and used for reports and performance analysis. We occasionally make use of the non-personally identifiable information we collect to improve the design and content of our site and to refine our marketing and outreach campaigns.

- Any public authority as the law so requires, or as we deem necessary to protect the rights, property and safety of Bay River College, our users and others.
Aside from the individuals mentioned above, we will not sell or rent your personal information to third parties without obtaining your informed consent. Generally, the College does not sell or rent personal information in any event. “Personal Information” in this case is defined broadly by governing legislation as any information about an identifiable individual except the name, title, business address or telephone number of an employee of an organization.

Most of the online sites and services we provide allow you to manage your personal information. We have designed our website to solely appeal to a mature audience, specifically individuals 16 and older who are interested in our educational, childcare or employment services. This is not a risk unique to Bay River College’s website, as is an inherent issue present in all forms of Internet usage.
